---- Pictures related to John and Henrietta CUSHMAN, etc.
CGB-EAC-f. Henrietta Caroline MALTBY, b. Dec. 16, 1836 (John 6, John 5,
Sam.4, Sam.3, Sam.2, Wm.1). m. May 14, 1861, Rev. John Paine CUSHMAN, b.
Jan. 19, 1830; d. Feb. 5, 1901.
Mrs. CUSHMAN was keenly interested in her Maltby family and with
her husband, drove all about Connecticut collecting records of the
family. In 1910 she loaned the compiler many pages, collected in these
trips. Tombstone inscriptions, records from churches and towns--also
notes she jotted down on "talks with Aunt Ruth," etc. For these
valuable records the compiler is far too deeply indebted to make any
adequate acknowledgment in mere words.
Mrs. Cushman attended the Maltby Reunion at Branford and her
picture is in the group taken at that time. I believe she was the
only descendant of Samuel Maltby present, and remarked "Who wouldn't
be a Daniel?"
